The help

I reading the book the help, it is a very interasting book and brings up alot of really good points that also make you think. In the book i am reading about lady named Minny who is the help for another lady named miss celia. Miss celia wants Minny to work for her just she can't tell her husband. That is one thing that is very interesting because them metion early in the book that the husband won't approve but they still have not told us why the husband does not approved which leaves alot of suspense. So she stars to work for her and since miss celia has a huge house it takes a while to clean so every day minny does a different part of the house and every friday she takes a couple hours and teaches miss celia how to cook since she is really bad and minny is really good. This book is working for me very well because it is interasing. A movie just came out and i am waiting till i finish the book till i watch it. I will keep you apdated as i go farther in the book.

The Help

I am still reading the book the help and it is getting a little bit more complicated but I can still stay with the story line. After chapter 2 the perspective change from Abilene who is the help for a family to Minny who is one of Abilene best friends and is also the help for a different family. The plot twist in the story is that the women who Minny used to work for fired her because Minny had to big of a mouth which I find to be true but what the lady who Minny used to work for spread a rumor that Minny was stealing items from her. Even though the rumor was not true nobody was hiring Minny because they thought she stole things. So Minny had to go out of town to find a job and eventually did with women who had never had a maid before. The lady lived in the middle of now where so the rumor could not get to her. Since this lady had never had a maid before she did not know how to act so unlike all the other employers this lady was very kind to the help which Minny found shocking but liked. The one dilemma was that the lady was not telling her husband that she was employing help because the husband didn’t believe it was necessary to have help when his wife could clean and cook the house. The main reason Minny got hired was to teach the lady how to cook. The spot that I am now in the book is where they are doing their first cooking lesson and it is not going very well. I would say that this book is working for me on many levels. One being that it is very interesting and always keeps me engaged.

The Help

I have been reading the book the help for about a month now and every day I have read it, it has only gotten better. This book is working for me because I love books that get into detail and this book does. As I go further into the book the author gives more and more detail for each character, especially the main character. For example we hear about how rough Aibileen, the main character’s life is, being African American in 1962 where racism was at its peak. Also being the help for a fairly mean family and have had live on her own because her son died a while back. The book also mentions many smaller aspects such as many people believe that all of Abilene prays come true because she has a ritual where every night she writes her daily prays in a book and apparently all of the prays come true. A dilemma that keeps popping out in the book is Abilene has a friend named Missy. Missy is also an African American helper but she specializes in cooking. The down side of Missy is that she has a big mouth and says bad stuff to the people that she helps but in this chapter, the person that missy works for gets tired of Missy being mean to her so she spreads rumors to all of her friends that Missy was stealing stuff from her. Missy got really mad by this but this rumor would still leave her out of work. This book is an amazing book and I really am looking forward to reading further. I will keep you updated as I go along in the book.

The Help By Kathryn Stockett

I am Reading a book called The Help by Kathryn Sockett. I am Starting to get really interested by it. The main character is the one that the books perspective is based on and she is very intresting.Her name is Aibileen, she is a african american women that is the help for a white family of a women and daughter. The scene i have just finished in the book is a scene where every month the women that Aibileen works for has a lunch  in where she invites all of her friends and Aibileen is in charge of makeing all the food, tiding the whole house, hosting by bring all the food out and makeing all of her friends feel comfertable as the walk in. She talks about being able to hear all of the chit chat that the women that she works for and her friends have. Once she has sever the appertizes and the main chorse and is going to and from the kitchen with pitcher of ice tea she is overhearing the talk that the person that she works for is having with her friends. She says they start to just talk about clothing and then when one of her friends asks to go to the bathroom they start to talk about how the lady the Aibileen works for should get a specific bathroom for the help. She is not so sure. This book is very power and intresting. This book is definatly working for me as a fun read.

The Help by Kathryn Stockett

This week I started reading the book The Help by Kathryn Stockett after finishing Bossy Pants by Tina Fey. I picked this book because I kept hearing about it, about how it was thinning and one of the best books of the year and since the movie is out I wanted to read it. Even though I Have only read a couple pages I can sense that it is going to be great book and I will love it. For example, in the first pages she explains the family who she is taking care of and she also describes the mother of the family that she takes care of. The author describes her so well that I knew that the book was going to be really good. The author is obviously a amazing writer which makes the really interesting. So far there have been no boring parts but I think as I progress through the book some parts will have to be boreing so that I and who ever is reading this book can understand the chcaracters and the situation better. That is all I can say about this book so far but as I progress trough the book I will kept you updated.

Bossy Pants By Tina Fey

I love this book because the characters are very detailed and even though it is an autobiography every characters Tina Fey mentions in the book has a back-story. For example before she got famous she worked at a YMCA and one of her coworkers named Nancy. Nancy was an obese woman who complained about every thing but when Tina fey tried to complain to her she would always get mad at Tina. Nancy was such a small role in her life but Tina fey added so much detail to her character. I keep reading this book because I love hearing about Tina fey's personal life instead of the characters on the stage that she play. I think it is working really well for me since I really like to hear about Tina fey's life so it’s an awesome fun read for me. There are little boring bits like in most books but she does it to explain more about what’s going on. Also because she is such a great writer she makes the boring bits funny, entertaining and exiting. For example when she was talking about fashion and cream to make your face feel nice I thought it was going to be boring but since she is such a good writer she made it funny by talking about what she looked like in high school. I picked this book because I was looking for books to read and I saw this one and I knew I would like it because I love Tina fey and like I said before hearing the back-story of someone’s life is fun for me. My favorite type of book is funny books that’s are interesting and have twists. I think I like these kinds of books because I love to laugh, I also love to be interested and I love to have sudden twists in the story to keep interested.
